About
Founded in 2016, tofurocks is an indie development studio specializing in visual novels and other sorts of narrative-based games about the queer experience. Along with original projects, we also provide tutorials and templates for developers who use the Ren’Py Visual Novel Engine.
At this time, tofurocks consists one of one core member, its founder BáiYù.
BáiYù (he/they)
BáiYù is a queer trans masc Chinese-American game developer who once had dreams of being a traditionally published author, but once he learned how hard it is to break into publishing, he thought making games would be “easier” (spoilers: it wasn’t). He jokes that he’s still alive and kicking much to the chagrin of many, and will try just about anything besides art and audio. His interests lie in community organizing in the form of game jams and bundles, as well as representation of trans masculine folks in media.
